In 2003, the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center was designated a NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Siteman, founded in St. Louis in 2001, is an international leader in moving laboratory research into the clinic, including new methods and interventions to better diagnose, treat, and prevent cancer.
