The Washington Association for Biomedical Research was founded

In 1989, the Washington Biotechnology & Biomedical Association, now known as Life Science Washington, was founded by local biotechnology companies and state’s Department of Trade and Economic Development (DTED).

Today, Life Science Washington an independent, non-profit 501(c)(6) trade association whose mission is to stimulate life science innovation, job creation and ecosystem vibrancy across Washington state through engagement, collaboration, promotion, and advocacy.
