In 1980, three of Bostonﾒs oldest and most prestigious Harvard Medical School teaching hospitals – the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, the Robert Breck Brigham Hospital, and the Boston Hospital for Women ﾖ merged to form Brigham and Womenﾒs Hospital (BWH).
