The NASDAQ Stock Market joined with the London Stock Exchange
In 1992, The NASDAQ Stock Market (NASDAQ) joined with the London Stock Exchange (LSE) forming the first intercontinental linkage of securities markets.
LSE membership was increasingly a corporate one even before individual membership was finally ended on April 1, 1992.
This marked a significant development in global financial markets, allowing for improved cross-border trading and increasing the reach of both exchanges. The International Stock Exchange in London is now known as the London Stock Exchange.
