In 1995, The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research was founded. The Institute was the research branch of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System. Biomedical research has been a vital aspect of its two academic medical centers ﾖ North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center ﾖ since their establishment in the early 1950ﾒs.

Today, The Feinstein Institutesﾗthe research arm of Northwell Health, New Yorkﾒs largest healthcare providerﾗis home to 50 research labs, 2,500 clinical research studies and 4,000 people raising the standard of medical innovation.
