In 2002, Henrietta C. Lee donated another $5 million gift to the Harold E. and Henrietta C. Lee Breast Center. In 1998, Harold and Henrietta Lee gave $5 million gift that made it possible to create endowed chairs and establish the Harold E. and Henrietta C. Lee Breast Center at the the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center.

In 1973, the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center was designated a National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of the first eight comprehensive cancer centers.
