In 1997, planning began for Oregon Health & Science University’s (OHSU) Center for Women’s Health, and an interim director is named. The center was intended to offer a place where women’s concerns can be addressed in a comprehensive, comforting and supportive manner. The center will use a collaborative model that encourages women to actively participate in their care.
