On Jun. 4, 2019, the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) awarded a $13 million relocation grant to Hummingbird Bioscience of Singapore.

To date, CPRIT had awarded over $411 million to 34 companies, including 12 companies recruited to Texas from other states and abroad.

Hummingbird Bioscience was originally based in Singapore.
