The Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center was designated National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center
In 1973, the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center was designated a National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of the first eight comprehensive cancer centers. It received $2 million for facilities and more than $5.6 million for research.
Today, Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center provides comprehensive care for patients in its affiliated hospitals and outpatient clinics and conducts hundreds of clinical trials, offering the latest in innovative cancer treatments.
