In 2003, Dr. William Hagopian at the Pacific Northwest Research Institute began Phase I of the hOKT3 study. William Hagopian, M.D., Ph.D., served as PNDRI’s Scientific Director and focused on research strategies in immunology and molecular biology for predicting and preventing type 1 diabetes before clinical disease onset.
