In 1984, the Office of Biotechnology was established at Iowa State University. Today, Iowa State University houses a powerhouse selection of cutting-edge scientific equipment and knowledgeable staff in centers located throughout the campus. Collectively known as the Biotechnology Service Facilities, they are available for use by both academic and commercial researchers.
